Air Conditioning · 29 March 2019
A split system consists of a single outdoor module and at least one indoor air handler, linked by narrow tubes. It cools the room it is mounted in.
A ducted system uses metal or plastic ductwork to carry conditioned air through the ceiling to outlets in multiple rooms, with zoned control.
Split systems suit cooling one or two rooms, while ducted whole-of-home systems suit larger homes and offices that want even cooling across many spaces.
